Help Save Plum Island – November 14, 2016

Plum Island (click for map) in Long Island Sound is at present under the control of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, but the laboratory there is being decommissioned. The island, which is adjacent to Great Gull Island, should be preserved in its natural state as national wildlife refuge or a unit of the national park system.

On Wednesday, November 30 (11:30-1:15), there will be a Plum Island Presentation and Discussion at Hodgson Russ LLC, in the main conference room. The address is 1540 Broadway, 24th Floor. The meeting is open to the public, and is sponsored by Parks and Trails New York, Save the Sound, and The Nature Conservancy.
