Ramble Path Closures in 2016 — June 6, 2016

As part of our ongoing work to restore the Park’s Woodlands, the Conservancy is preparing to begin work on the reconstruction of paths and infrastructure in the central part of the Ramble and west of the Gill. You will see fencing going up this week. Paths will close for construction the week of June 13th, and the work is expected to be completed and paths reopened this fall. This is a fairly large project that we delayed commencing during the spring migration. We are mindful of fall migration, and we will be working hard to have the area opened by then, but it is possible that the project will go into the first part of October.  I will keep you posted on the progress as we get closer to fall.

Link to a map showing the paths to be reconstructed (in yellow) and the fence that will define the construction area (PDF).

Yellow line = path that will be closed for reconstruction.
Dotted black line = construction fence
Humming tombstone is to the right of the top yellow line.
Tupelo Meadow is the big light green area.
